Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane has died aged 72. The Scottish actor was famous for playing Rubeus Hagrid in Harry Potter. The Scottish star, whose real name is Anthony Robert McMillan also appeared in James Bond films Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough along with in ITV detective drama Cracker. A cause of death has not yet been revealed. The news was confirmed by his agent on Friday.
In a statement, his agent Belinda Wright described Coltrane as a “unique talent”.
Robbie Coltrane was well known for playing Hagrid in the Harry Potter films. He was made an OBE in the 2006 New Year’s honors list for his services to drama.
